Admissions Prerequisites and Requirements for the Airline Career Pilot Program

Choose Your Starting Point…

  • US Citizenship (or Permanent Resident)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • One of the following is preferred:
    • A High School GPA of 3.0 (High School Seniors and Recent Graduates Only), or
    • Two Years of College Experience, or
    • Two Years of Work Experience, or
    • Two Years of Military Service With an Honorable Discharge
  • Successfully complete an Admissions Flight at any ATP Training Center
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (except for corrective lenses)
  • US Citizenship (or Permanent Resident)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 43+ Hours Total Flight Time
  • All solo requirements per 14 CFR § 61.109(a)(5) including:
    • 10 Hours Solo
    • 8 Hours Solo Cross-Country
  • 10 hours of flight time within 90 days of your ATP class date is preferred.
  • Successfully complete an Admissions Flight at any ATP Training Center
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (except for corrective lenses)
Short on 43 Hours, but Have Your 10 Hours of Solo and 8 Hours of Cross-Country PIC?

Time Build

For $250 per hour, ATP will include the flight time required to reach 43 hours total time before proceeding in the Airline Career Pilot Program.

    Note: Must hold temporary or permanent certificate prior to scheduling.
  • 78+ Hours Total Flight Time, including
    • 8 Hours Cross-Country PIC
  • 10 hours of flight time within 90 days of your ATP class date is preferred.
  • Successfully complete an Admissions Flight at any ATP Training Center (ATP will evaluate your Private Pilot skills, knowledge, and abilities)
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (except for corrective lenses)
Have Your PPL But Are You Short of Total Flight Time?

For $250 per hour, ATP will include the flight time required to reach 78 hours total time before proceeding in the Airline Career Pilot Program.
