Airline Career Pilot Program students can apply to the Frontier Pilot Cadet Program at the start of their training and once accepted into the program, can receive monthly financial stipends, mentorships, travel benefits, and more.

How to Become a Frontier Airlines Pilot How to Participate in Career Track

Your journey to becoming a Frontier Airlines pilot starts at ATP Flight School. Here's how to participate in the Frontier Airlines Career Track and become a Frontier First Officer.

  1. Step 1

    Airline Career Pilot Program

    Enroll in the Airline Career Pilot Program.

  2. Step 2

    Apply to Frontier’s Pilot Cadet Program

    Immediately upon starting training, ATP students are eligible to apply for Frontier's Pilot Cadet Program. Upon successful completion of the interview process, accepted Cadets begin receiving flight benefits, mentorship, and monthly stipends.

  3. Step 3

    Complete the Airline Career Pilot Program

    Receive $500 monthly stipends throughout the remainder of your training and graduate in with your commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates.

  4. Step 4

    Flight Instructor Job

    After successful completion of the Airline Career Pilot Program, build experience as an ATP flight instructor. Continue to receive $500 monthly stipends until reaching 750 hours, when stipends increase to $1,000 per month.

  5. Step 5

    ATP CTP & Jet Transition Course

    Upon reaching 1,500 hours, complete a Frontier sponsored ATP CTP course and jet transition program with ATP, utilizing a full-motion Airbus A320 simulator.

  6. Step 6

    Frontier Airlines Pilot

    Transition to Frontier and begin flying as a First Officer.
